# Display campaigns

Create a DCO creative and campaign, driven by your CDP data.

## Your goal

Set up a dynamic creative optimisation (DCO) campaign, so the message adapts to each user from the data already in your CDP.

## Expected outcome

A campaign with its creatives attached, and a snippet ready to hand to whichever adserver will deliver it.

## Import your creative

Go to **Creatives** and click **New Display Ad**. Choose a creative type.

<table data-search="false"><thead><tr><th width="200">Type</th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Html</strong></td><td>For a DCO campaign.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>All Ad Renderers</strong></td><td>If you have a special setup.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Name the creative

Keep the **Creative name**. You search on it when building the campaign.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add the creative content

For an `HTML` creative, select your `HTML` file and your final URL, then upload the `HTML` file.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check the preview

A preview of the creative is shown before you attach it to anything.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Create the campaign

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Start a new campaign

Go to **Campaigns** and click **New Campaign**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Name the campaign and add your creatives

Fill in the campaign name and its **Ad Groups**. Keep the campaign name for later. Click **Add Existing**, search for your creative using the **Creative name** you set earlier, and click **Add**. Repeat for every creative the campaign needs.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save the campaign

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Get your snippet

Search for the campaign by its **Campaign name**, open it, and use **Get your Snippets**. Select the kind of adserver you will implement it in, and you get the right macro for that adserver.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you run into trouble at any step of this process, contact your account manager.
{% endhint %}

## Verify

* The creative preview renders as expected before you attach it to a campaign.
* The campaign lists every creative you added.
* The snippet, once implemented in the target adserver, serves the creative in a test placement.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.mediarithmics.io/measurement-and-attribution/measure-and-optimize/track-your-campaign/display-campaigns.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
